Giveaway Winner & Weekend Run Re-Cap

First of all, thank you everyone for your awesome comments on my 100 Days Countdown post! It's fun reading your responses, and to think of all the things we have in common!! I'm glad you all found something relatable in the list. We are all joined by the common thread of running and trying to be our best. The friends I have in the blog world have been some of the most supportive and encouraging people I've ever known. Thank You again!!

And now for the winner.......via random.org......It's Kelly Stodola! :) I've sent you an email, zip back your mailing address and your secret prize will be sent out asap! Congrats!! (And I'm going to look up that podcast! I am loving the Galloway method for my long runs.)

For my weekend run I went out early Sunday (with Hubster on bike as usual...he coasts most of the way and this time got called out by several fellow runners for being the lazy one in the pair hehehe). We started at 7am and it was already way too muggy and the temp around 80. (I have a love/hate relationship with the Sunshine State right now) In the first half mile I had already decided this just wasn't what I wanted to be doing at the moment. I wasn't in a 'running mood'. It happens sometimes, but I pushed on and finished out my 5 miles. My legs were really feeling like lead this time and my pace slowed quite a bit, but sometimes that's just the card the running gods deal you.

I've been slacking off on my mid-week runs due to a crazy work schedule but I've really got to step it up. I plan to run Tuesday & Thursday this week, both after work (I work 12 hour days on my feet...so an after work run is not always an easy feat). Please hold me to it!! I need to build my stamina, I feel like I'm in a bit of a rut right now.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Favorite Running Song of the Week: I'm still running sans tunes, but I have Katy Perry's 'California Gurls' in my head.

  1. That's much better than what I have in my head. Do you watch America's Got Talent? There was a lady who sang an original song - it consisted of "I'll be in my studio" over and over. LOL
