Easter Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend and had the opportunity to get out there and sweat a little bit.

Get ready for lots-o-photos!!

The weather here in 'sunny' Florida has been beautiful the last week. The kind of days where you just can't stay indoors. So Hubster and I went down to O-town to spend the holiday weekend with a set of close friends, T & S. They were hosting a Latin themed Easter cookout. It was cleverly nicknamed 'Cinco de Easter'. Yes, I'm well aware this doesn't make any lingual sense, but it was a fun name!

We headed down Saturday night and stayed over at their house. We all got up early Sunday and enjoyed some coffee & fresh doughnuts before heading out on a gorgeous trail around Lake Minneola (for locals, you may know the area).

*Note to Self: large cup of black coffee & 1 glazed jelly filled doughnut do NOT make for the most nutritious/well thought out pre-running meal*

The Boys (Hubster & S)

Me & T (on her pink Scwhinn) went out towards the lake for a 3 mile out -and- back while the boys did their own thing on an 8 mile ride. It was a perfectly sunny day and I really enjoyed the fresh air and good times with a friend. She was a great coach too! Made me laugh, carried my water, and motivated me.

Awww...so sweet on her Schwinn!

The trail was absolutely gorgeous. There were some groups out taking Easter photos and even an Easter egg hunt by the lake. There were quite a few cyclists out there too!

T took some good photos of me running:
